We have the most exciting news to share with you!  We opened another store!!!  Yassssss!!!!  If you haven’t already heard, the new location is in downtown Oakville at 176 Lakeshore, next door to House Warmings' previous home.  Appropriately named Homebody, this boutique lifestyle store encompasses a little bit of everything from fashion forward clothing, jewelry, footwear, accessories, to home decor.  And I’m telling you people, your jaws will drop when you walk into this space.  It’s like being transported to a modern, slightly boho boutique in a laid back luxury locale like the southern California coast.

The boutique is an extension of House Warmings, but will be operated primarily by owners Michele and Leon’s daughter Claire, who has carefully researched and curated all of the beautiful pieces you’ll find at Homebody. Claire has an incredible eye for fashion and design, and is currently finishing her studies in Interior Design along with running this new venture. Now that’s a busy girl! 

Some of the fashion brands you can expect to find include Velvet, Agolde, Spiritual Gangster, Gentle Fawn and Kaanas.  The clothing appeals to all different ages, with modern, simple lines and meticulous detail. Vintage jeans, jackets and tees line the recycled clothing racks (crafted by Claire’s grandparents). 

Claire’s aim is to bring beautiful, one of a kind handcrafted pieces to the store, and she will be seeking out artisans with unique, undiscovered talent to add to her collections . The jewelry is handcrafted and represents a collection of gold, recycled gold and silver, with brands such as Hart & Stone, Livie and Pilgrim.  Many of these Canadian owned brands practice sustainable manufacturing using recycled materials and ethical practices, while giving back to charitable organizations. How cool is that? 

The design of the store reflects a cool, boho vibe, with some modern lounge-y furniture that invites you to sit down and sip rose while you and your friends try on clothes. The furniture is available to order, as well as the stunning art that fills the walls.
